I am a qualified Japanese Acupuncturist with over 20 years of experience. I graduated in 2001 from a three-year program in Acupuncture, Moxibustion, and Shiatsu in Japan, then began my career in Tokyo specialising in Japanese Nagano Style and Meridian Therapy. I specialise in a gentle, effective approach that combines Acupuncture with Shiatsu massage to balance energy, support hormones, and boost immunity. My focus is on activating the body’s natural healing, ideal for pain relief, stress reduction and overall well-being. I also offer lymphatic massage to promote circulation, reduce swelling, and enhance skin appearance naturally.
My dream to work as an acupuncturist in Europe came true in 2005. I had wonderful experiences in the heart of London at acupuncture clinics, therapeutic salons, wellness centres and also in luxurious settings like the Ritz Hotel Mayfair and Como Metropolitan Hotel. I also provide high-end treatments such as Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture and the Japanese Cosmo Facial, which blends facial reflexology with lifting techniques.
In 2012, I opened my own practice at Chaterhouse Clinic.
My journey began in my 20s in Canada, where the temperature had dropped to -20 degrees, giving me terrible back pain one day that I could barely walk. My host mother suggested I see an acupuncturist, and after just one session, I felt like I could dance again! The relief I felt and the resilience of the human body impressed me, sparking my dream to become an acupuncturist in Japan and share this healing practice abroad.
Below is a picture of my family’s signboard business, started by my grandfather, a painter in Yokohama, Japan. My father continued the tradition, and later, my brother took it over. During his cancer treatment, my father crafted a special cyclobalanopsis wood signboard for me. Even while unwell, he was deeply proud of my work as a Japanese Acupuncturist in Europe. It was a great joy to offer him this healing practice when I returned to Japan. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about sharing Japanese Acupuncture with the world.
To me, it’s more than a practice—it’s a vital part of Japanese health culture and a dream I am grateful to fulfill.
